Galleri Charlotte Lund was founded in Stockholm in 1993. After a couple of years of training within the New York art scene, Charlotte Lund opened her own gallery space. Ever since, Galleri Charlotte Lund has been one of the leading art galleries in Sweden. Over the years the gallery has helped foster artistic careers, for both established and emerging, national and international artists during long-term representation. In 2009 the gallery relocated to a 200 m2 open space situated on the top-floor of an industrial building in the gallery district of Stockholm.
Early on, the gallery pioneered in showing work by well-established photo artists. Today the exhibition program focuses on international contemporary art from the primary market, including artistic medias such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video and site-specific installation.
Through its operation, the gallery has been a part of introducing a global art scene in Sweden, along with maintaining a focus on establishing Swedish artists abroad.
The gallery has participated in art fairs such as Art Forum Berlin, Art Basel Statements, LISTE, ARCO and The Armory Show.
