Galleri Charlotte Lund has the pleasure of presenting a solo exhibition of new work by Jonas Nobel.
This is the artist’s third solo exhibition at the gallery and this time he mixes different styles and material. Op-art, anthroposophy, constructivism, expressionism and symbolism are found in sculptures of wood and concrete, in large charcoal drawings and in the suite of drawings ‘Next Door Nebula’, portraying bruises.
In conjunction with the exhibition, a new book featuring Jonas Nobel’s work from 1999 - 2007 is being published. The book is titled ‘The memory of this experience will slowly fade and you will eventually die, I’m so sorry, I’m very, very sorry’. On August 30, a permanent installation by Jonas Nobel is being inaugurated, titled ‘The struggle for an idea worth fighting for continues’ at restaurant Riche in Stockholm.
Jonas Nobel was born in Uppsala in 1970. He graduated from the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts in 1998 and lives and works in Stockholm. Last year, the artist took part in the ‘The Moderna Exhibition’ at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Jonas Nobel is a member of the design group Uglycute.
