Galleri Charlotte Lund has the pleasure of presenting the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts’ 14 Masters of Fine Art graduates in an exhibition curated by Stella d’Ailly.
The exhibition is a part of a larger graduate show being exhibited at the Bildmuseet in Umeå. At Galleri Charlotte Lund each artist will present one piece of work, featuring among them almost all of the creative forms of expression of today: painting, drawing, theatre, music, film, performance art, poetry, sculpture, webwork, and installation art. This year’s graduating class demonstrates that there are just as many focus areas in art as there are people who practice art.
A complimentary catalogue will also be available at the show, featuring each artist’s current and earlier work and showing their artistic breadth and background. Fourteen texts have been written by five people: the curators Karolina Pahlén and Helena Scragg, the art historian Erik Berg, and the artists and writers Maja Hammarén and Andjeas Ejiksson. Andjeas Ejiksson also designed the catalogue. The website www.co08.se functions as a forum for the artists and the exhibition and will be maintained over a three-year period so that the artists’ work can be followed over the coming years.
Opening reception: Thursday, May 29, 5pm to 8pm. Press photographs are available.
